Government Affairs Recently, the
economic Development committee has developed a plan of work
which includes the creation of an informational packet that
will be made available to business and industry who are
looking at the Cleveland Area as a place to relocate or start
a business. The plans include gathering of demographic
information for the 40/42 area, determining distinct "area
boundaries", and compiling general information pertaining to
life and business in western Johnston County. The Greater Cleveland Chamber of Commerce economic
Development committee meets the second Monday of every month
at 1:00 at BB&T conference room.

2008 Strawberry
Festival The 2008 Strawberry
Festival Committee works to plan and execute the GCCC’s
biggest annual community event. The Strawberry festival is a
day long celebration of area families, business, and
community. There are lots of activities for families to enjoy
such as rides, carnival games, vendors, crafters, contests,
and food. The committee will begin meeting soon and
could use your help. We always need volunteers for the day of
the festival as well.
